Our Mission

School Logo & Motto:

Carmel Academy aims at the integral development of the child into a fully human and fully alive person. Our motto is ‘Grow Enlightened’ and the inspiration for the motto is Lord Jesus who “Grew in wisdom, age and in divine and human grace”.

The School Logo has a profound meaning:

The leaf at the backdrop refers to Bodhi tree which is the symbol of enlightenment. Here the school is the Bodhi tree for the children. The book stands for knowledge and wisdom. The lamp symbolizes the JAGT JYOTI, who dispels the darkness of avidya and enlightens everyone.

COLLABORATION:

Carmel Academy is in collaboration with sisters of different congregations. St. Ann Sisters were helping us in the year 2009-2012. In 2012 Adoration sisters joined us in our teaching mission.

Profile of our Student:

  • Intellectually competent
  • Spiritually mature
  • Psychologically integrated
  • Physically healthy
  • Morally upright
  • Champion of Truth, Justice, Love and Peace

Principal's Message

Student life is the best part of one’s life. As a student, you learn several wonderful and interesting things in your school. This opens a new world before you empowering you to move ahead in life with great vigour and enthusiasm.

The sense of wonder that each new information provides must be kept alive throughout your life and each of you shall set a goal for yourself. Pursue this goal earnestly and sincerely. Always remember success is ninety nine percent perspiration and only one percent inspiration. Therefore make the best use of the facilities your home, you school and your motherland provide you.

The future belongs to you, dear students. Dream big for you and for your nation. Develop yourselves into intelligent, well informed and responsible men and women of the nation. Inculcate the habits of planning, regularity and punctuality in life.

The urge should come from within. You must grow free. Of-course, freedom must be used with responsibility. If someone compels you to do something you will not be happy. If you do because you love to do, then you will be happy. Let your ‘Antharayamin’ (inner self) provoke you to do the right thing always.
